About Us

Shepard Hill Farm is a Local, Veteran Owned, Small Business, in Boston, Virginia. We have been Freeze Drying various foods and meals for ourselves for almost 5 years. In 2024 we started retailing Freeze Dried Candy, Freeze Dried Fruits, and Freeze Dried Pet Treats. Our Freeze Dried Chicken Bite pet treats have been our #1 product from the beginning.

For our Pet Treats we use commercially sourced chicken, liver, and shrimp, hand bake, hand cut, freeze dry, and hand package our treats for our furry friends. We do not use any additives, preservatives, or any salts/spices. This is beneficial for those pets that might have digestive issues and who would benefit from good, clean, healthy treats.

In our experience the bags of treats don't last that long with our happy pups.

Our Pet treats are great for training or just plain old rewarding. Our current Shepherds just completed their Introduction to Nose Work classes using our Liver Bites.

We believe that our pet treats are a great alternative to large, commercially made treats, as they are made with our Shepherds in mind.

We use commercially sourced candies and fruits, hand prepare, freeze dry, and hand package our treats for our other Friends, although some of our dogs like some of our fruits too.
